Winners of the 2014 Business Travel Journalism Awards Announced

Journalists from The Evening Standard, Eurostar’s Metropolitan magazine and Conference & Incentive Travel among those honoured

LONDON, October 15, 2014 - The winners of the 11th annual Business Travel Journalism Awards were announced during a spectacular awards dinner at The Magazine Restaurant, Hyde Park last night. Journalists across national, broadcast, meetings & events and business travel media were recognised for their quality coverage of the business travel and meetings & events industry.

Steph McGovern, BBC business reporter, hosted the night and chaired the expert judging panel comprising of business travel and meetings managers, industry experts, and respected journalists and lecturers.

Organised and promoted by leading travel management company, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, (CWT) the awards are a celebration of the achievements of individual journalists, designers and editorial teams.

Commenting on the awards, CWT’s senior VP UK & Ireland Chris Bowen said, “Over the last 11 years, we’ve never seen such quality journalism, from such a wide breadth of publications. The awards night was hugely enjoyable with a great mix of top journalists, broadcasters and industry leaders.”

During the event, journalists also cast their vote for the peer most deserving of the accolade, Journalists’ Business Travel or Meetings & Events Journalist of the Year, which was presented to Paul Revel, Editor of Buying Business Travel
