Home Office ‘Overall Supplier of the Year’ Award
Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) UK
scooped ‘Overall Supplier of the Year’ as well as ‘ Best Contribution to a Project or Programme’ at
the 2010 Home Office Supplier Value and Innovation Awards against nearly 5,000 Home Office
suppliers.
Since CWT started working with the Home Office in 2008, savings of £5.9
million have been achieved by consolidating their travel programme. Actions such as implementing an
online booking tool, creating a bespoke hotel programme, providing detailed reporting on policy
compliance and performance measurement against environmental targets and installing rail ticket
printers in Home Office locations helped to achieve these results.
“We have an excellent relationship with CWT based on openness, trust
and creativity,” said John Collington, Group Commercial Director, Home Office, in stating why CWT
was awarded ‘Overall Supplier of the Year.’
