Jim Tweedie
- Executive Vice President North Europe
In 2002, Jim was appointed Executive Vice President North Europe, a region that includes UK, Sweden and Denmark. Jim's responsibilities include overseeing the company's operations in three countries.
He started his career in travel in the airline world in 1970, working for British Airways at Prestwick Airport. He subsequently moved to Glasgow for the airline and held positions in reservations, sales and marketing.
In 1983 Jim Tweedie joined A T Mays as one of the senior members of the team that took the company into business travel. As Sales Director, he built up a sales team to develop the company's business travel activity and remained with A T Mays until it was sold to Carlson Travel Network in 1989.
As Sales and Marketing Director at Carlson Travel Network he developed the first Account Management Team. He went on to become Director of Account Management in 1994 with the newly formed Carlson Wagonlit Travel - following the merger between Carlson Travel Network and Wagonlit Travel.
Jim headed up Account Management in Northern Europe for Carlson Wagonlit Travel from 1997 to 1999, prior to taking up the position of Vice President UK.
