With an annual travel spend of £1.4 million in the UK, Fircroft Group, a global recruitment agency for the oil and gas, automotive, mining and engineering industries, required a secure system for booking business travel for client contractors.
What was the project?
When providing contractors for their clients, Fircroft’s travel costs were proving difficult to track using the processes already in place.
They asked CWT Energy Services to find a solution that would allow management information (MI) to be recorded for these travellers, while heightening their safety and security through recording all bookings.
What did the CWT team do?
• Ensured contractors were serviced by the same CWT team as the client, to improve the booking experience.
• Provided access to the contractors’ own CWT Portal site – an online gateway through which all required CWT products can be accessed.
• Created individual Fircroft Group profiles for each contractor to improve traveller tracking.
• Tested the solution with one energy client to iron out any creases prior to the full roll out
What was the outcome?
Following the successful implementation of the first energy industry client, a number of other Fircroft Group clients were implemented, each one being provided with their own MI group and serviced from the same location as the Fircroft Group’s employees.
Seven months later the project was expanded to include all Fircroft Group internal staff, with each of the seven UK locations being serviced by CWT teams. A project to implement all remaining Fircroft Group clients in the UK (bar one heavily mandated client) is currently underway.
“Following the success of the project in the UK, we are now looking to use CWT's services in the US, with a view to roll-out similar processes for contractors to other global locations in the future”
